METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION

Description of Dataset
This dataset contains processed compliance monitoring records used for Weibull reliability modelling of ammonium nitrogen (NH4-N) performance within the Glaslough Integrated Constructed Wetland (ICW).

The original monitoring data were obtained from historical operational wastewater treatment records provided by Uisce Éireann. The dataset was subsequently processed and transformed into compliance event records for probabilistic and survival-based reliability analysis.

The compliance log was developed to quantify:

* durations between compliance failures,
* temporal compliance behaviour,
* exceedance frequency,
* reliability trends,
* and long-term operational stability.

Description of Data Processing
The dataset was derived from historical NH4-N monitoring data collected as part of routine wastewater operational monitoring.

Compliance events were defined relative to selected ammonium concentration thresholds. Time intervals between exceedance events were calculated and used for Weibull reliability modelling.

Data processing steps included:

* data cleaning,
* chronological sorting,
* threshold exceedance identification,
* interval calculation,
* event logging,
* and preparation for statistical reliability analysis.

Analytical and Statistical Methods
The dataset was used for Weibull survival and reliability analysis to evaluate temporal patterns in ammonium compliance behaviour.

Analyses included:

* inter-exceedance interval calculation,
* Weibull probability distribution fitting,
* estimation of shape and scale parameters,
* reliability probability assessment,
* and temporal compliance trend evaluation.

Experimental Conditions
The dataset represents operational full-scale wastewater treatment wetland conditions under variable hydraulic, seasonal, and loading conditions.

Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC)

* Original monitoring data were collected under routine wastewater compliance monitoring procedures.
* Analytical QA/QC procedures associated with the original monitoring programme were undertaken by Uisce Éireann and associated laboratories.
* Processed datasets were checked for duplicate records, chronological consistency, and calculation errors prior to modelling.
* Missing or unavailable measurements were retained as blank cells where applicable.
